Hydraulics and Electro Hydraulic Systems Design, Operation and Maintenance

Introduction

Hydraulics and Electro Hydraulics is used for many industrial applications covering actuators and valves, motors, conveying, instrumentation, ESDV circuits etc. It is used in manual or automation mode and or interfaced with Safety Systems, PLC, and DCS etc. This course is designed to provide basic concepts and practical advice on how to Design, Operate and Maintain Hydraulics & Electro-Hydraulic Circuits and components and use them for process automation. The course covers fundamentals of hydraulics including the power pack and properties of hydraulic fluid, hydraulic and electro-hydraulic components, and industrial applications of the same. It also provides exposure to software tools used for design and simulation. Guidelines for operations and maintenance are also provided to make it useful for day to day requirements.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course the participant will be able to:

    • Learn hydraulic fluid fundamentals including generation and distribution
    • Understand the working principles of hydraulic and electro-hydraulic components
    • Learn to carry out successful automation from laboratory to the real-life project
    • Understand the operations and maintenance of hydraulic and electro-hydraulic components
    • Know the software tools used for design, engineering and simulation of circuits
    • Develop skills to diagnose/troubleshoot hydraulic and electro-hydraulic circuits
    • Exposure to circuit building, simulation and testing

Training Methodology

This is a highly interactive training course with opportunities to advance your opinions and ideas. Participation is encouraged in a supportive environment. To ensure the concepts introduced during the program are understood, they will be reinforced through a mix of learning methods, including lecture-style presentations, open discussion, case studies, simulations, and group work.

Who Should Attend?

Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical and Process Engineers, Project Engineers, Maintenance Engineers and Supervisors interested to work in the field of Pneumatics, Automation and Process Control. The course will also definitely be beneficial for all the other department people concerned with the plant operations, production, maintenance and safety. It could be also useful for procurement and quality personnel.
