Introduction
An effective & efficient maintenance strategy is critical to the success of any manufacturing operation. This SMRP accredited course was designed to teach you the real-world skills needed to properly define, develop and implement an effective maintenance strategy. By utilizing the framework and the techniques within the course, an organization will be able to reduce non-value added maintenance and eliminate the repeat failures experienced in their process. Included in the course;
A mix of lectures, readings, quizzes, and discussions to help you fully understand the proper implementation of industry-proven techniques.
Practical exercises that allow you to immediately apply changes in your maintenance strategy. Simple solutions to reactive problems
In addition, this course is recognized by the Society of Maintenance & Reliability Professionals, under their Approved Provider program. If you complete this course, you will be accredited with 24 hours toward the recertification of the CMRP designation, complete with a certificate.
Objectives
- Describe how maintenance and risk management integrate Understand the risk-based approach to a maintenance strategy
- Understand the various ways equipment fail, and how to manage the failure patterns Develop and utilize asset criticality to drive equipment strategy
- Understand the Reliability Centered Maintenance methodology Utilize a Failure Mode Effects Analysis
- Apply Preventative Maintenance Optimization techniques to existing PMs Understand and justify when Run to Failure is an option
- Write effective maintenance procedures
- Understand additional methods for mitigating failure consequences
- Understand how to monitor and manage the performance of equipment and the maintenance strategy
- Implement a method to update the maintenance strategy based on failures.
Training Methodology
The training methodology is interactive with group exercises and is suitable for all employees involved in the process, maintenance and operations management. The pace and level of the training workshop is customized to the understanding of the delegates. Ongoing back-up and support is available after the training on request to the supplier, and the training course is also available for in-house presentation as well as for “Competency Transfer”.
Who Should Attend?
State-of-the-art business systems analysis methods and techniques are transferred by means of short, focused presentations which are followed by experiential learning workshop sessions. In these sessions, the knowledge gained is applied to real-world examples and case studies. Rapid learning of the methods and techniques is achieved by means of group work, individual work, participant discussion, facilitator interaction and constructive feedback.
