Advanced Project & Construction Management (Aligned to PMI Certification Training Requirements)

Introduction

The course has been designed specifically for the benefit of Senior Project Managers and Engineers who are presently working on major capital multidisciplinary and multinational projects in the Middle East process and construction industry. We recognize that it is becoming increasingly more difficult for practicing Project Managers and Engineers to maintain their working knowledge of the many different management tools and techniques that appear to be introduced into the field of Project Management on an almost regular basis. It is also difficult for those Project Managers and Engineers that are detached from academic institutions to make the time available to evaluate and establish for themselves the real benefits afforded by the new commercially available software tools.

The course has been developed in order to address four key areas pertaining to the issues of improving awareness and knowledge of the more recent developments in Project Management.

Objectives

The major learning objectives resulting from the course have been identified as follows:-

    • To recognize and appreciate the potential benefits that can be obtained by applying efficient and effective management procedures tools and techniques to better understand project objectives, measures, and delivery.
    • To appreciate the impact of knowledge management within the project environment and the need to manage ‘knowledge’ over the project life cycle
    • To appreciate the relative position of the project by contrast to National and International benchmarks

Training Methodology

This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies, and presentations on best practice. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participants on what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations. The online course is conducted online using MS-Teams/ClickMeeting.
